Chrome-plated steel
This pair of table lamps is an excellent example of progressive Czechoslovak design from the early 20th century. Manufactured by the renowned Prague-based company Napako, their aesthetic sits at the intersection of decorative Art Deco and the emerging functionalist Bauhaus movement. This synthesis is evident in the elegant yet strictly utilitarian lines. The foundation is a chrome-plated steel construction, professionally polished to a mirror finish during restoration.
The lamps are designed with a focus on practicality—the 19 cm diameter shade is fitted with a swivel joint, allowing the light angle to be adjusted as needed. Thanks to their subtle dimensions and directional glow, these pieces are ideal for bedside tables or as a stylish additional light source for a study.
The pair has undergone complete professional restoration and features new professional wiring with E14 sockets, meeting current safety standards.
The lamps have been fully rewired to meet current European safety standards. Due to this professional electrification and restoration, the pair is ready for safe and immediate operation in electrical grids worldwide.
