This floor lamp is a prime example of Czechoslovak "Brussels style" design and Mid-Century aesthetics from the 1960s. The fixture was designed by the celebrated designer Josef Hůrka for the famous national enterprise Napako, one of the most prominent producers of modern lighting in Czechoslovakia at the time. The lamp perfectly marries minimalist geometry with high versatility and function.

The construction of the lamp combines a chrome-plated steel adjustable arm with a lacquered steel circular base and dome shade finished in a striking, rich red hue. The piece has undergone a comprehensive restoration – all metallic and lacquered components have been completely cleaned and polished. The defining feature of this model is its ingenious jointed mechanism, making the lamp fully adjustable in both height and direction, allowing the user to easily customize the lighting angle (perfect as a reading light next to an armchair).

During the professional overhaul, a thorough rewiring and electrical inspection was conducted, ensuring the lamp is fully functional and safe for immediate interior use. This iconic vintage piece serves as an ideal accent for modern living rooms, studies, or retro-inspired spaces, infusing them with the authentic atmosphere of the 1960s.
