This dressing table is a top representative of Czechoslovak functionalism and Bauhaus design from the 1930s. The factory of Robert Slezak in Bystrice pod Hostynem manufactured this piece. Slezak was among the most important European producers of metal furniture. His furniture remains sought after for its visual lightness, technical precision, and ability to bring modern dynamics into an interior.

The item underwent a complex restoration. The tubular chrome-plated steel received professional cleaning to reach a high luster, creating a perfect contrast with the wooden parts.
