This imposing large salon chandelier is a premier example of Czechoslovak design from the 1920s. Its form sits at the intersection of two major movements – the decorative Art Deco and the strictly functional Bauhaus. This unique synthesis is reflected in the harmonious blend of geometric lines and technical precision, typical of the modern interiors of the young republic. The nickel-plated steel structure has been professionally cleaned during the restoration process, regaining its characteristic cool luster, which, combined with its generous dimensions, lends the fixture an air of luxury.

The centerpiece of the chandelier consists of opal glass lampshades, crafted in a milky white finish. These shades were designed to create soft, pleasantly diffused light within a space without glare, making it ideal for illuminating large salons or dining rooms. As part of the comprehensive restoration process, new wiring has been installed to meet current safety standards, ensuring that the chandelier is fully functional and ready for immediate use in demanding modern households or prestigious commercial spaces.

Thanks to its robust construction and timeless design, this chandelier is not only a highly functional light source but also a valuable collectors artifact. Its simple and clean shapes allow for easy integration into both period interiors with historical furniture and minimalist modern apartments. It stands as a perfect testament to the quality of Czechoslovak glassmaking and metalworking from the interwar period, adding an unmistakable atmosphere of classic nobility to any room.
