This iconic reclining armchair is one of the famous designs by architect Jindřich Halabala for the renowned UP závody. Dating back to 1930s Czechoslovakia, it represents the pinnacle of interwar design, blending the elegance of Art Deco with emerging Functionalism, with a strong emphasis on comfort and utility.

The structure is crafted from solid oak, known for its strength and distinct texture. As part of a professional restoration, the original wood polish was sensitively revived, highlighting the natural grain of the solid oak in a warm tone. The armchair features new professional upholstery, executed strictly according to the original pattern using high-quality, period-appropriate fabric. The backrest adjustment mechanism is fully functional, allowing for a smooth transition from a sitting to a relaxing position. Thanks to its stable construction and timeless design, this is a highly valued piece of interwar furniture.
