This daybed or chaise longue is a representative piece of Czechoslovak furniture design from the 1930s Art Deco period. At the time, this type of furniture was a symbol of comfort and a modern lifestyle, combining the elegance of a salon piece with the practicality of a bed. With its clean, geometric shape and contrasting colors, it represents a timeless element that stands out in both classic and modern interiors.

The item has undergone a complete restoration, returning it to its original nobility. The visible construction is made of ebonized (blackened) oak on a solid spruce frame. The original wood polish has been sensitively refreshed, highlighting the deep dark tone and texture of the oak wood. Great emphasis was placed on comfort: the chaise longue features traditional spring upholstery and has been newly and professionally upholstered according to the original design to preserve its authentic historical appearance and top-tier comfort.
