This pair of armchairs is a true icon of Czechoslovak furniture design and a masterpiece of the Art Deco style from the 1930s. This legendary design was conceived by the acclaimed architects Karel Koželka and Antonín Kropáček, whose collaborative work fundamentally shaped modern interwar and postwar living in Czechoslovakia. The chairs perfectly combine timeless elegant geometry, precision craftsmanship, and uncompromising comfort.

During the comprehensive professional restoration, emphasis was placed on maintaining the highest quality and luxurious finish. The original bent beechwood frame is in perfect condition and has undergone a meticulous surface treatment – the wooden parts were finished in black piano lacquer and subsequently polished to a luxurious high-gloss. This deep black surface lends the chairs a dramatic flair and accentuates the dynamic silhouette of their curved armrests.

Ultimate comfort is provided by completely new professional spring upholstery, ensuring durability and period-accurate seating support. The chosen cover is a period-style houndstooth fabric in a traditional black-and-white pattern, which perfectly harmonizes with the glossy black frame and highlights the graphic, purist character of the entire design. This fully restored pair of designer armchairs represents an exceptional collector's statement piece and a valuable investment that will stand out in any sophisticated living room, lounge, or modern study.
