This dressing table with a mirror is a rare example of late Czechoslovak Art Deco from the 1940s, created under the direction of architect Jindřich Halabala. The renowned UP Závody showcased the pinnacle of their decorative craftsmanship here, blending strict geometry with luxurious materials. The entire set is designed with an emphasis on elegance and symmetry, making it a true gem of a period bedroom or boudoir.

The piece is in its original, very well-preserved condition, which is exceptional for such a complex item. The dominant aesthetic feature is the precise checkerboard marquetry, alternating light maple veneer with dark mahogany. This technique creates a dynamic contrast and depth on the front surfaces. The original polish has been professionally refreshed to highlight the woods velvety luster. The lower vanity is fitted with its original black glass in excellent condition, harmonizing perfectly with the large original mirror, which has maintained its clarity and quality over the decades.
