Spring-wound - wound with a key, run for 3-5 days.
This is an atypical machine, it has differently placed holes for winding.
Half-beating (1/2) - bell-like beating, strikes every 30 minutes.
Large enamel dial.
Chiseled brass frame, ornaments and pendulum.
Columns and top decoration made of alabaster.
Main antique appliques on the sides - polychrome - gilded with gold leaf.

Architectural symbolism: In the Empire, these clocks were conceived as miniature antique temples (portals).

Chessboard inlay: The floor of the portal is inlaid with a two-tone wooden contrasting checkerboard, which creates a strong perspective effect of depth.

Mirror: A mirror is placed on the back wall behind the columns, this optically doubles the number of columns and creates the illusion of an endless hall.
