This pair of armchairs represents the peak of elegance and exclusivity of Czechoslovak Art Deco from the 1920s. During this early period of the style, designers embraced dramatic contrasts and luxurious materials to satisfy the most demanding clientele. The chairs combine strict geometry with the playfulness of avant-garde elements, making them a striking centerpiece in any interior.

The armchairs have undergone extensive and complete restoration. The beech construction has been newly finished in a high-gloss black polish, known as piano lacquer, which creates a deep mirror effect. Great attention was paid to comfort and authenticity: the chairs feature traditional spring upholstery and have been newly, professionally upholstered according to the original design. The chosen textile fabric imitating animal fur is a direct reference to the era popularity of exotic motifs, which early Art Deco architects frequently used to emphasize luxury and uniqueness.
