This stool (taboret) is a noble representative of 1920s Czechoslovak Art Deco, embodying the characteristic geometric rigor and elegance of the interwar era. The structure is crafted from ebonized oak, whose deep dark hue has been enhanced through the revival of the original polish during restoration. This finish highlights the woods subtle luster while protecting its natural texture. The four slender legs are functionally and aesthetically connected by a circular shelf in the upper part, providing stability and visual lightness to the piece.

An exceptional feature of this item is the extraordinarily well-preserved upholstery, which is not sunken and has maintained its original integrity. The stool is covered in its original fabric with a delicate striped pattern in earthy tones, which has been professionally machine-cleaned to restore its clarity while preserving its authentic historical patina. The upper edge of the seat is trimmed with a decorative braid (gimp), highlighting the meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail that was standard for First Republic custom manufacturing.

Thanks to sensitive restoration and excellent technical condition, the stool is ready for immediate use as a stylish accessory for a vanity table, in a bedroom, or as a representative element in a living room. It represents a rare opportunity to own a piece of furniture in its original textile state, which is often irreversibly damaged in items from this period. With its timeless character, the stool easily integrates into both antique collections and modern interiors as a unique statement piece with a story.
