This dining table is a prime example of 1930s Czechoslovak functionalist design in the Bauhaus style. Manufactured by the renowned Slezákovy závody (Robert Slezák), the table is based on the company's iconic ST9 and ST10 models. The design perfectly represents the interwar avant-garde approach to furniture, seamlessly blending industrial modernism with the warmth of natural materials.

The frame is constructed from bent tubular chrome-plated steel, which has been professionally polished to a mirror finish during a comprehensive restoration. A key highlight of the design is how the tabletop is mounted: it is attached to the chrome base from the side. This clever structural detail ensures that despite its generous size, the table maintains an incredibly airy and light appearance while remaining perfectly rigid and stable.

The tabletop itself is crafted from high-quality spruce blockboard veneered with oak, featuring a rich and noble wood grain that provides a highly representative look. During the restoration process, the original wood polish was sensitively revived, restoring its depth and silky luster. This piece is not only a stunning aesthetic addition to any interior but also a solid investment in the finest era of Czechoslovak design history.
