This luxurious set of an extendable dining table and four chairs is a masterpiece of Czechoslovak Art Deco from the early 20th century. It was designed by the renowned architect Oldřich Liška, whose work is characterized by architectural rigor combined with decorative nobility. The set represents the peak of the First Republic era, when maximum emphasis was placed on the exclusivity of materials and the representative character of furniture.
The entire set has undergone precise restoration. The construction, made from a combination of spruce and beech, ensures excellent stability. The surface is veneered with rare Macassar ebony, which adds unique visual dynamics through its dramatic and rich grain. The original wood polish has been sensitively refreshed to bring out the depth and natural luster of this exotic wood. The chairs have been newly upholstered in genuine high-quality leather, following the original design, ensuring maximum comfort, durability, and an authentic appearance.
