This chandelier, familiarly nicknamed the "Hedgehog" (Ježek), is one of the most sought-after lighting designs of 1960s Czechoslovakia. Manufactured in the renowned works of Kamenický Šenov, it represents the playful yet technically precise side of Mid-Century Modern style. Its defining feature consists of six shades made of thick glass with sculptural spikes, which create a unique play of light and shadow when lit. Due to its proportions, this model is an ideal choice even for rooms with low ceilings, where it still manages to serve as a dominant and luxurious centerpiece.
The chandelier has undergone complete restoration. The brass construction has been professionally cleaned, and all six shades, with a diameter of 14 cm, are in excellent condition. The piece is fitted with new professional wiring and standard E27 sockets.
The chandelier has been fully rewired to meet current European safety standards. This professional electrification ensures universal compatibility and safe operation in electrical grids worldwide.
