This stool (taboret) is a highly valued example of interwar industrial design in the Bauhaus style from the 1930s. It was manufactured in Czechoslovakia by the famous Mücke-Melder company in Fryštát, which ranked among the absolute European elite in metal furniture production. This particular model combines structural minimalism, excellent stability, and an authentic industrial character.

The core of the stool consists of a uniquely shaped cross-base made of bent chrome-plated steel. As part of a sensitive restoration, the original chrome was professionally cleaned and polished. The natural historical texture and subtle patina were intentionally preserved to highlight the age and heritage of this collectible item.

The circular seat made of solid beech wood features its original white paint, showcasing beautiful signs of past wear. The wooden surface was thoroughly cleaned and subsequently impregnated to stabilize and protect it from moisture, making it ready for daily use while preventing further flaking. This authentically restored statement piece is an ideal addition to modern lofts, industrial spaces, or as a unique accent stool for a desk or entryway.
