This exceptional and complete bedroom set is a rare find, not only due to its remarkable condition but also because of the material used for its construction – aluminum, which was originally planned for use in the interiors of airships in aviation due to its lightness. Manufactured in the 1930s by the renowned company Vichr a spol., it reflects the Bauhaus style under license from Thonet, placing it among the most notable examples of interwar Central European furniture design. All pieces retain the original manufacturer’s labels, further verifying their authenticity.

Set Composition:
2 beds
2 wardrobes
Gentleman’s chest
2 nightstands
Dressing table with mirror

The entire set has been professionally restored, maintaining the original glossy green finish, a hallmark of Bauhaus aesthetics. This distinctive green color, combined with aluminum details—considered innovative and valuable materials at the time—imbues the furniture with a modernist flair and timeless appeal.

Furniture Construction
The beds, nightstands, and dressing table feature tubular chromed steel frames, meticulously cleaned and polished to their original shine. The wardrobes and gentleman’s chest incorporate aluminum accents, a cutting-edge material for its time. The furniture appears to have seen minimal use, as evidenced by the pristine interiors of the wardrobes and chest, which required no significant restoration work. The beds can be joined into a double bed. Gentleman’s chest is equipped with a system of adjustable internal shelves for versatile use.

This set is not just functional furniture but also a significant testament to the design, technology, and craftsmanship of the interwar period.
