This rare pair of table lamps is an excellent example of the functionalist Bauhaus aesthetic in interwar Czechoslovakia. These lamps date back to the 1930s. The famous Czech designer and lighting theorist Miloslav Prokop created them. His work always featured a perfect blend of technical precision and modern form. The designs of Prokop are pillars of modern Czechoslovak design and have high value among collectors worldwide.

The lamps underwent a complete restoration process. The chrome-plated steel construction received professional cleaning to reach a high luster. This highlights the clean, geometric lines of the objects. A practical feature is the adjustable lampshade. This allows the user to change the light direction as needed. The restoration also included new electrical wiring. This ensures the lamps are not only beautiful historical artifacts but also fully safe and functional accessories for a modern desk or bedside table.
