This bronze statue of a trumpeter, depicting the legendary Miles Davis, is a fascinating blend of musical genius and late 1930s Art Deco aesthetics. Although the author is unknown, the work exhibits extraordinary dynamism and stylization typical of the period – capturing the musician in a moment of absolute focus and virtuosity. The statue is in its original, perfectly preserved condition and is mounted on an elegant marble base, highlighting its collectors value.

The sculpture was cast using the traditional lost-wax bronze casting method. This technique, known for being labor-intensive and time-consuming, ensures pristine quality and vivid detail. Thanks to this process, the statue achieved a unique texture and vitality that faithfully transfers the energy of the jazz era into noble bronze.

Miles Davis was one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century, with a career spanning five decades that fundamentally shaped the face of jazz. He was a visionary who never feared leaving the beaten path – from bebop and cool jazz to modal jazz and jazz fusion. Davis was known not only for his unmistakable trumpet playing, characterized by a lyrical tone and the use of silence, but also as a fashion and cultural icon whose uncompromising attitude toward art inspired generations of musicians and artists worldwide.
