This figural floor lamp is an extraordinary gem of 1920s German decorative art, masterfully combining sculptural artistry with functional design. The fixture features a delicately modeled female nude carrying a small child (putti) on her shoulder, creating a harmonious scene that emphasizes classical proportions and fluid lines. The base clearly bears the signature "Sommer," probably referring to the German artist Ferdinand Sommer. Unfortunately, we do not have more precise proof that this is this particular artist.

The material is high-quality ceramic with an ivory finish, which highlights the subtle details of the modeling and provides the entire object with a noble appearance. The lamp is topped with a large opal glass sphere with a 25 cm diameter, whose geometric shape creates an interesting visual contrast to the organic curves of the sculpture while ensuring a soft, pleasantly diffused light. Stylistically, the piece sits at the transition between Late Art Nouveau and Early Art Deco, making it an ideal luxury accessory for representative halls, salons, or bourgeois interiors.

Both the sculpture and the glass shade are in excellent condition. The lamp has undergone professional rewiring for safe daily use and is equipped with a brown twisted cable featuring a practical foot switch. The fixture uses a standard E27 thread socket. Due to the combination of artistic value, quality craftsmanship, and historical authenticity, it is a highly prized collectors item with stable financial value.
