Model B35

This pair of armchairs represents the absolute pinnacle of global avant-garde design and stands as an icon of the Bauhaus style from the 1930s. This revolutionary 1928 design was conceived by none other than the legendary architect and designer Marcel Breuer. The armchairs, designated as model B35, were manufactured in Czechoslovakia by the renowned Thonet company. In this design, Breuer successfully eliminated the traditional bulk of upholstered seating, replacing it with the lightness of a continuous steel tube line that utilizes the material's flexibility to its fullest.

The cantilever frame, crafted from bent tubular chrome-plated steel, has undergone comprehensive restoration and has been professionally cleaned and polished to a brilliant mirror finish. The structure provides its signature, highly comfortable spring effect. A wonderful detail is found in the armrests made of solid beech wood, which feature a sensitively revived original wood polish, preserving their authentic patina and providing a warm contrast to the cool metal.

The seat and backrest have been newly finished using a premium cover of genuine cowhide leather in an elegant cognac shade. The leather is tensioned in a manner that precisely follows period-accurate technical processes, lending the chairs the purist, mechanical appearance characteristic of interwar modernism. This meticulously restored pair represents an exceptionally rare investment and collector's opportunity, adding a touch of absolute exclusivity to any modern, industrial, or historic interior.
