This exclusive Empire pedestal, which thanks to its construction and proportions can also be used as a standalone side table, originates from France in the first half of the 19th century. The piece is crafted from noble mahogany wood, which during the Empire period was a symbol of luxury and high social status. The overall composition rests on three slender columns that rise from a tripartite base to support a circular top, a form typical of furniture architecture from the Napoleonic era.

The exceptional nature of this piece is highlighted by rich decorations made of polished brass. The upper apron of the pedestal is lined with a precisely chased band featuring a floral motif, complemented by brass bases and capitals on the columns. As part of a professional restoration, the original wood polish was sensitively revived, restoring the mahoganys deep, dark red hue and velvety luster. The metal elements have also been cleaned to create a brilliant contrast against the dark solid wood.

The construction remains remarkably stable and solid even after two centuries. At the bottom, between the columns, there is a decorative element resembling a stand, which visually balances the entire composition and adds to the authenticity. This object represents an ideal choice for collectors and antique lovers looking for a prestigious element to display a bust or vase, or as a unique interior accessory with a rich history.
