Model H-214 (Lollipop)
This set of six dining chairs is a true icon of Czechoslovak furniture design and one of the most sought-after examples of the Art Deco style from the 1930s. This is the legendary model H-214, designed by the famous designer Jindřich Halabala for the renowned UP Závody Brno factories. Within the design community and among collectors, these chairs are immensely popular and, due to the specific, elegantly rounded shape of the backrest, are often nicknamed the "Lollipop".
During the comprehensive restoration process, the original wood polish was sensitively revived, highlighting the premium quality of the materials used. While the sturdy legs are crafted from solid beech wood, the prominent, anatomically shaped backrest is made of high-quality spruce plywood veneered in walnut, showcasing a gorgeous, rich grain. The contrast between the dark, elegantly curved legs and the bold texture of the walnut veneer emphasizes the luxurious character of the entire set.
The chairs have also undergone a complete upholstery overhaul. The new professional upholstery, featuring an elegant, subtly patterned light fabric, provides maximum seating comfort and perfectly matches the interwar First Republic aesthetics. This complete set of six chairs represents an exceptional collector's and investment opportunity that will instantly elevate any representative dining room or salon.
