This piano stool is an elegant and fully functional interior accessory dating back to the 1960s from Czechoslovakia. It represents a classic combination of honest craftsmanship and the timeless, clean design language of the mid-20th century.
The foundation consists of a sturdy solid beech wood construction, providing the stool with exceptional stability and durability. Both the circular seat and the dynamically shaped tripod base showcase the natural, warm grain of the wood. As part of a comprehensive restoration, the original wood polish was sensitively revived on all components, restoring its natural depth, honey tone, and subtle sheen while preserving an authentic vintage patina.
The stool features a robust steel threaded lifting mechanism that is fully functional, cleaned, and lubricated, allowing for smooth height adjustment simply by rotating the seat. This beautifully restored piece will serve perfectly not only by a piano but also as a stylish counter stool, an accent seat for a writing desk, or a unique plant stand in modern or retro-inspired interiors.
