This iconic table lamp, often called the "banker" lamp, is a top example of functionalist Bauhaus design from interwar Czechoslovakia. The lamp dates back to the 1930s. It was manufactured in the workshops of the famous metalworker and designer Franta Anýž. The factories of Anýž in Prague were a symbol of the highest quality craftsmanship. His designs remain among the most sought-after artifacts of Czechoslovak modernism.

The lamp underwent precise restoration to regain its original luster and elegance. The construction of chrome-plated and enameled steel received professional cleaning. The combination of these materials creates a typical contrast that defines the aesthetic of industrial luxury. The restoration also included new electrical wiring. Therefore, the item is fully functional and safe for daily use. Because of its timeless shape and history, this lamp is an ideal centerpiece for a desk. It represents the prestige and refined taste of the First Republic era.
